Commercial disclosure
This page lists every commercial relationship we have, in full. It is generated from the same data that decides which links are tracked, so it cannot quietly fall out of date.
What we take money for
Subscriptions, team licensing, and — where noted below — affiliate commission when someone signs up to a tool through a link on this site.
What we do not take money for
- Scores. No vendor has ever paid to change a TIP Score, and there is no arrangement under which one could.
- Placement. Rankings, shortlists and advisor results are computed from the published methodology. Commercial status is not an input to any of them.
- Coverage. A tool is in the catalog because it is worth knowing about, not because it pays.
How we keep that true
Not by promising it. The code that computes scores and rankings has no access to the file that holds commercial relationships — they are separate modules, and an automated check fails our build if that ever stops being the case. It is enforced rather than intended.
The order matters too: a tool is scored on evidence first, and a commercial relationship can only ever be added to something that already earned its position. Never the other way round.
Current relationships
None.We are not currently in any affiliate or referral programme, and no tool on this site pays us anything. Every outbound link goes straight to the vendor's own page, untracked. If that changes, the tool will appear in the table below, its links will be labelled “paid link” on the page, and this sentence will be gone.
Spotting a paid link
Any link we are paid for carries a “paid link” label next to it and is marked rel="sponsored" in the page source. If a link has neither, we earn nothing from it.
If you think we have got this wrong
Tell us: hello@aitip.ai. If a score looks like it was bought, that is the most serious complaint you can make about this site and it will be treated that way.
